About site
« on: November 01, 2016, 10:05:01 AM »
Without the following this site would never have been built:

The information on this site has been carefully researched to ensure certain criteria.

    Clarity of information to patients or those concerned about tuberculosis.
    Validity of fact for those researching tuberculosis.
    Last but not least all the information and images are copyright free.

I have personally checked for copyright and when necessary contacted the publishers to ensure it is permissable for use.

I have used text and/or images from the following:

    World lung foundation http://www.worldlungfoundation.org/library_others.html
    CDC(Centre for Disease Control) http://www.cdc.gov/index.htm (text and images)
    123helpme http://www.123helpme.com/
    Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page
    BioMed Central OPEN ACCESS http://www.biomedcentral.com/

Brief summary of what Open Access means for the reader:

  Articles with this logo are immediately and permanently available online. Unrestricted use, distribution and reproduction in any medium is permitted, provided the article is properly cited. See our open access charter.

Anyone is free:

    to copy, distribute, and display the work;
    to make derivative works;
    to make commercial use of the work;

Under the following conditions: Attribution

    the original author must be given credit;
    for any reuse or distribution, it must be made clear to others what the license terms of this work are;
    any of these conditions can be waived if the authors gives permission.

BioMed Central Open Access Charter

Every peer-reviewed research article appearing in any journal published by BioMed Central is 'open access', meaning that:

    The article is universally and freely accessible via the Internet, in an easily readable format and deposited immediately upon publication, without embargo, in an agreed format - current preference is XML with a declared DTD - in at least one widely and internationally recognized open access repository (such as PubMed Central).
    The author(s) or copyright owner(s) irrevocably grant(s) to any third party, in advance and in perpetuity, the right to use, reproduce or disseminate the research article in its entirety or in part, in any format or medium, provided that no substantive errors are introduced in the process, proper attribution of authorship and correct citation details are given, and that the bibliographic details are not changed. If the article is reproduced or disseminated in part, this must be clearly and unequivocally indicated.

    WITHOUT OPEN SOURCE THIS SITE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BUILT.

 Many many thanks to the original owners of the information who have given me permission and made this site possible
